Kade Matix Harmon

Our baby was born on March 1st, 2010, 9:03 am. He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and is 21 inches long. We named him Kade Matix Harmon, although it took us several hours to figure out what exactly his name was going to be. We are so excited to have him and were so excited that we have 3 boys! I still can't believe how outnumbered I am, I was so sure he was going to be a girl. Dane and Ty think they knew all along that he was a boy, but that's just because that's what they wanted him to be.

After a few days at the hospital we are very happy to be home and just taking it easy. We've had lots of great family and friends come visit and bring delicious meals. It's been so nice to get rested up and not worry about cooking. Actually I haven't had to worry about much of anything. My mom and dad took great care of Dane and Ty while we were at the hospital and since we've been home Lee has taken care of everything. He's done laundry, dishes, cleaned the house, and been spending a lot of time with Dane and Ty. The only bad thing is that Lee got sick this week and so he hasn't been able to love and kiss on Kade. He's kept his distance pretty good and I know it's killing him. He's such a baby lover, so it's sad that he's got a nasty cold. Even with the sickness he's been super dad and a super husband!Dane and Ty are absolutely loving their new baby brother. They are so wonderful with him and always love to hold him and help burp him. They are great helpers with fetching diapers and they are the sanitizer police! They make sure everyone who hold Kade is sanitized, they take it very serious. They are trying to be such good helpers for me too. This morning I woke up about an hour after the rest of the family. I asked Dane to get me a little orange for breakfast. I heard him rummaging around in the kitchen and soon he brought me a little bowl with an orange, grapes, and he made me some chocolate milk, my favorite. It was so cute and I could tell he was so proud of himself for thinking it. Then this afternoon he and Ty were outside playing and they decided to shovel our walkway and all around our cars. Then they went and shoveled my grandma & grandpa's walk.

As for Kade, he's been a wonderful baby! He loves to eat and loves to sleep. I've been up with him no more 2 times each night so I can't complain at all, I just hope he keeps up this nice schedule. I am loving having him around, he's so soft and cuddly and smells so good, I can't get enough of him. I was a little nervous to get back in to baby mode, but am loving everything about it!

Ice Fishing!

Winter in Alaska is beautiful and this year we've found our family's favorite way of enjoying the outdoors is to go ice fishing. Lee is crazy about fishing, he will go anywhere, anytime. It doesn't really matter to him if he catches anything, he just likes getting out. In mid-December he had knee surgery, which eliminated a lot of other winter activities like snowboarding, hiking, sledding, etc. Being hugely pregnant, I can't do any of those either, so for this winter it's ice fishing every week!

Dane and Ty love it. Mostly they just play in the snow, but they have both caught fish completely on their own.

We've tried a lot of different lakes; Finger, Irene, Long Lake, Seventeen Mile, Echo, Kepler, and Lake Louise.
After Thanksgiving we loaded up and headed to the cabin at Lake Louise. We got up there in the dark, which was pretty scary, but lucky for us the moon was out and we didn't even need to break out the GPS to find the cabin.

The boys in the hut. Dane and Ty don't even stay in the hut, they spend all their time rolling around in the snow outside.

Some New Pictures!

We are so lucky that Lori takes such great pictures and has such great prices! We just got these today so I thought I'd post them before I put it off another 3 months.
We've been busy the past month moving and getting settled in our new place, my Grandparents basement. We've been doing a lot of fixing up and it's been fun to make little improvements here and there. We still have a few things on the list, but mostly we are moved in, organized, and settled.
Dane started Kindergarten the end of August and loves it. He catches the bus every morning and I pick him up at 2. He's a great little student and takes his school work very seriously. He was a dinosaur for Halloween, he's a little obsessed with dinosaurs lately.
Ty is in Preschool and loves it. He was a tiger for Halloween and it fit his little personality perfectly. He's a little wrestler and loves animals like crazy. We are watching Richard and Lori's dog while they are in Japan and Ty is in heaven. He plays with her outside in the cold everyday for as long as I will let him.
Lee has been busy working in Anchorage and has been sick a lot. Finally we got him into the doctor and he has a sinus infection, no fun.
I have been just doing regular mom things and working on basement projects. For those of you who haven't heard, we're expecting number 3 on 3-3. That's our 3rd baby on March 3rd. We didn't find out what it is, so be ready for the surprise!
